The Fellowship Program seeks to introduce mental health professionals to psychodynamic thinking and psychoanalytic treatment. Fellows will:

MENTORING

All participants are assigned a mentor who is a practicing analyst and a member of the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis. Mentoring runs throughout the program and includes individual meetings to discuss issues related to psychoanalytic training, practice and treatment. Participants are also invited to attend our monthly scientific meetings and other programs offered by the Center and may be eligible for Center membership.

FACULTY

Lindsay Brancato, Psy.D., is an advanced candidate at the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology at George Washington University and her B.A. in the University of Maryland Honors Program. She completed pre- and post-doctoral internships at Rutgers University and externships at: the Reginald Lourie Center for Children, the George Washington University Center Clinic and Miner Elementary School. She is a licensed psychologist in private practice in Chevy Chase, MD .

Judith Chused, M.D., is a child, adolescent, and adult psychoanalyst in private practice in Washington, DC. She is a Supervising and Training Analyst on the faculties of the adult and child training programs of the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute. Author of many articles, she is on the editorial board of the Psychoanalytic Quarterly.

Yvonne De Cuir, Ph.D., is a psychoanalyst in private practice in Washington, D.C. She is an instructor on the faculty of the adult training program of the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis, a core faculty member of the Modern Perspectives on Psychotherapy Program of the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the George Washington University School of Medicine. She is co-chair of the Fellowship Program.

Deborah Feldheim, M.D., is a psychoanalyst in private practice in Rockville, MD. She is an associate instructor on the faculty of the adult training program of the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute and a core faculty member of the Modern Perspectives on Psychotherapy Program and co-chair of the Fellowship Program of the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis.

Richard Fritsch, Ph.D., is a psychoanalyst in private practice in Chevy Chase, MD. He currently is Professorial Lecturer at the Clinical Psy.D. Program at George Washington University and Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is a Supervising and Training Analyst at the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute and also is on the faculty of the Modern Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program of the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis.

Ernest Wallwork, Ph.D., is a psychoanalyst in private practice in Washington, D.C. and Syracuse, New York. He is an Associate Instructor on the faculty of the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute and Professor of Ethics at Syracuse University and SUNY Health Science Center. He is the author of Psychoanalysis and Ethics. Karen Weise, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and child/adolescent psychoanalyst with a private practice in Washington DC, and an associate instructor at the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute.

Robert Winer, M.D., is a psychoanalyst and couple and family psychotherapist in private practice in Bethesda, Maryland. He is a teaching analyst, Co-Chair of the New Directions Program, and Chair of the Modern Perspectives on Psychotherapy Program of the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis. He is the author of Close Encounters, A Relational View of the Therapeutic Process.
